This project will document the changes in aquatic Plant abundance and nutrient content over one season of growth on four lakes. These changes are thought to be important factors affecting habitat use and movements of Moose in and out of Old Crow flats each summer. The goal is to identify any possible differences in life histories for moose that live in different parts of the Flats. Information from an ongoing study show that moose in the south-eastern portion of the Flats stay in the Flats much longer than the moose in the west. We project will try to identify ecological factors that determine the timing of moose migration to and from different parts of the Flats.
