Sharp-Tail Grouse Reproductive Success and Habitat Use

The general objective of this project is to provide baseline ecological information on the sub-population of sharp-tailed grouse (STG) in the Dawson Goldfields, which will help wildlife managers make informed decisions in respects to the species. More specifically, we aim to evaluate the current populations’ range in the goldfields, abundance of breeding birds, survival, reproductive success, and nesting and brooding habitat, and relate these with habitat characteristics and resource development activities.
