This project will work will local users of Teslin Lake to gather local knowledge on lake trout spawning areas. This will be followed up by field investigations on the lake by an experienced Yukon fisheries biologist to identify lake trout spawning sites and to collect tissue samples for genetic analysis which can then be compared to the genetic samples from angler harvested fish through a `mixed stock genetics` analysis. The
information gained by this project will provide an information source to better inform future management of lake trout stocks in Teslin Lake.
