Tro’ndek Hwech’in Fall Harvest Camp

The goal of this on-the-land camp is very similar to the First Fish and First Hunt traditional cultural camps that TH hosts. Traditional and cultural practices and teachings will be the main focus of this harvest camp, situated at the newly constructed camp at Fortymile. The camp will be held during fall time, third weekend in September. The camp’s main focus will be harvesting fish, meat and berries from this area and TH will hold different workshops on site to teach proper processing of the foods that are gathered. The camp is located close to the confluence of the Fortymile River and the Yukon River.
