Complete a study on the Habitat Selection of Common Nighthawks near Long Lake during breeding season, which will help clarify what habitats are important for nighthawks in the boreal forest of this region. The study completed on the Anthropogenic Effects of Common Nighthawk indicated a higher concentration of nighthawks within the old growth forest surrounding Long Lake. It also suggests that the significance of the trail density might have less to do with breeding habitats than the habitat itself. The study will build on the existing information gathered from the anthropogenic effects study completed in 2017 within the park. Breeding bird survey techniques will be completed in the area surrounding Long Lake.
