The main purpose of this project is to complete testing of remaining bison samples and then summarize Yukon wood bison health and disease data, which will be reported to the Yukon Bison Technical Team. This report will serve as a reference for free-ranging wood bison health parameters that will be of interest to Yukon residents and will provide detailed information that is not currently available to wildlife health professionals. This project will also provide a valuable experience in formulating research questions, gathering background information, data analysis and reporting for a Yukon-raised veterinary student with a demonstrated interest in wildlife health, conservation and research.
