The main goals of this project are to:
- Summarize and report on long-term monitoring data on rapid vegetation change on Herschel Island-Qikiqtaruk Territorial Park.
- Share results with interested parties (e.g. Yukon Parks, Wildlife Management Advisory Council (North Slope), Yukon Environment Regional Biologist, local communities)
- Provide recommendations to refine monitoring protocols, improve monitoring program, and provide training to Herschel Island-Qikiqtaruk Park Rangers;
- Evaluate the implications of rapid vegetation change to the conservation of wildlife populations, ecological integrity, and park management.
